What shared living actually means
Shared living is simpler than it sounds. Several adults live in one house. Each resident has their own personal living space. The kitchen, living room, dining area, laundry and outdoor areas are shared, and a house manager keeps the household running.
Because the cost of the home is shared across the household, each resident pays substantially less than they would renting alone — and because the home is furnished and managed, there is no deposit-and-furniture hurdle standing between someone and a place to live.
Residents come and go as they please, keep their own schedules, cook their own food and live their own lives. Shared living is a housing arrangement, not a programme.

Administrators can turn individual items on or off under Residences › Settings, so this list only ever shows what is actually offered.
What shared living is not
It is worth being precise about this, particularly for referring organizations assessing whether Eagle Harbor is an appropriate placement.
Eagle Harbor provides residential housing and household management. Eagle Harbor is not a hospital, nursing facility, assisted living facility, medical provider, or substance-abuse treatment program unless a future program is specifically licensed and identified as such.
We do not provide medical care, nursing, therapy, clinical services, supervision or personal care. Residents who need those services arrange them independently, and are welcome to receive support from outside providers and case managers while living in an Eagle Harbor residence.
